To be considered for appointment, you must bring relevant experience and a career track record of achievement within professional environments, together with an understanding of the role of pay and reward in motivation, recruitment and retention amongst a professional workforce. You will be able to analyse and interpret complex information, exercise sound independent judgement, and also be an effective communicator.
In addition, we would welcome skills and experience in one or more of the following areas although these are not essential: knowledge or experience of working in labour market economics, knowledge or experience in industrial relations, or experience of trade unions, HR leadership and/or management and knowledge of comparable healthcare systems. In particular, we are looking to appoint one or more members with significant experience of the public sector in Northern Ireland or Wales.
Remuneration will be £450 per day for the preparation and attendance at meetings. This is for a time commitment of approximately 15 meetings per year. The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care determines the length of appointment, which may be for up to a maximum of 3 years.
