The Welsh Government believes public bodies should have members who reflect Welsh society - people from all walks of life - to help them understand people's needs and make better decisions. This is why the Welsh Government is encouraging a wide and diverse range of individuals to apply for appointments to public bodies. Applications are particularly welcome from all under-represented groups including women, people under 30 years of age, people from ethnic minority communities, disabled people and the LGBT+ community. The principles of fair and open competition will apply, and appointments will be made on merit.
The Welsh Government is a bilingual organisation and acknowledges the importance of developing and growing bilingual capabilities in public appointments in Wales. Therefore, Welsh language skills are desirable for the posts. We welcome applications which demonstrate the capability to work in both Welsh and English.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 18 February 2026 at 16:00. Applications received after this will not be considered unless you wish to be considered under the Disability Confident Scheme. It is expected that interviews will be held in the week commencing 09 March 2026.
